churpie vs. the paid group video apps.

VidDay and Tribute are good at what they do: long videos, photos and printed video books, and Tribute offers a professional editor, for a price. Churpie does one thing: a short reel from everyone who loves someone, free, with no account for anyone. Here’s the honest difference.

questions people ask.

Is churpie really free?

Yes. Churpie is free for people, always: no ads, no per-card fees, no trial that runs out. It’s made by Sherwood Digital in Flagstaff, Arizona.

What does churpie not do?

No photo slideshows, long films, editing services or printed keepsakes. It makes one short reel from everyone’s messages, and deletes it 30 days after it’s made.

Does anyone need an app or an account?

Not for churpie: not the people adding messages, not the person organizing it. Tribute says its guests don’t need an app; check VidDay’s and Tribute’s sites for their account rules.
